Myself Dr. Sanjiv S. Thakur the Dean of Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial government medical college, Solapur from 3rd July 2019. I am a laparoscopic, bariatric and endoscopic surgeon working at ‘Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sarvopchar Rugnalay, Solapur’. After getting trained for laproscopic surgery from various centers all over India, I started practicing laproscopic surgery in 1996, and am now one of the first laproscopic surgeons in Maharashtra with almost 90,000 open surgeries and 25,000 laproscopic surgeries recorded in my career of 25 years. Recentely, I along with my colleagues have started a bariatric surgery unit in ‘Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sarvopchar Rugnalay, Solapur’.
